Dame Tracey Emin on finally being accepted by the art world - BBC 100 Women, BBC World Service

From a rebellious star in contemporary art in the 1990s to receiving the title of Dame by King Charles for her service to the visual arts in 2024, Tracey Emin is an icon. Her career has spanned over three decades with pieces tackling sex, pain and the female experience in a deliberately confessional way. But Emin’s life hasn’t always been filled with awards and royal recognition.
