At the turn of the new year, India achieved another stellar milestone. It became the fourth nation to achieve space docking, the connection of two crafts in space. The South Asian country had previously sent probes to the Moon and Mars. India has become one of the leading space-faring nations, at a time when the superpower space race is heating up. From moon mining to routes for commercial satellites to militarisation of space, the US and China are competing in this extra-terrestrial arena.
