Nikola Tesla - The visionary who invented our future | DW Documentary
Nikola Tesla, born in 1856 in what is now Croatia, was one of the world’s greatest inventors. He developed numerous innovations in the field of electrical engineering and was granted over 280 patents, many of them in the USA. Nikola Tesla arrived in New York in 1884 with barely a cent to his name. He worked briefly for Thomas Alva Edison, the inventor of the light bulb. However, their collaboration soon ended in a dispute.
