Sea Lions of the Oregon Coast

The Pacific coast of Oregon is famous for its caves, which are considered the largest grotto caves on the American continent. Here you will find one of the largest colony of the sea lions in the world. The Sea Lion Caves located near the city of Florence are listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the America’s largest sea caves. Thousands of sea lions use this basalt grotto as a refuge from strong winds and storms in winter time.
