By Train Across Sri Lanka
This film travels the length of Sri Lanka by rail, following the famous Main Line as it climbs through tea plantations, dense jungle and misty hill country. Built by the British in the nineteenth century, the route passes Buddhist temples, colonial relics and stations where daily life spills onto the platform. Along the way the journey meets the people who live beside the tracks and the food, faith and landscapes that shape the island. It is a gentle, richly observed portrait of one of Asia's most beautiful railways. Free to watch in HD on Dr Documentary.
