Lost World of the Shepherd: Nature Through Ancient Eyes

Long before cities reshaped our world, humans lived in intimate contact with nature — reading the land, the seasons, and the animals around them with a knowledge we have since nearly forgotten. When agriculture took hold and nomadic camps gave way to settled communities, most of humanity gradually lost that deep, instinctive connection with the natural world. But not everyone put down roots. Shepherds continued to wander, following their flocks across open landscapes, living by the rhythms of nature alone.
