The Impressionist Revolution 1874-1886 This talk explores major artists from the eight impressionist exhibitions in Paris and the pivotal role played by the commercial art dealer Paul Durand-Ruel in spreading their fame. Durand-Ruel purchased over 5,000 impressionist paintings and promoted impressionism by curating multiple exhibits within and outside of France.
