Guns, God, and Democracy in Brazil
This year, Brazilian democracy -- the fourth-largest in the world -- was pushed to the brink of crisis, as far-right President Jair Bolsonaro convinced his base of heavily armed, God-fearing supporters (adding up to tens of millions of people) that the election was stolen. VICE News investigates how Bolsonaro, borrowing from Donald Trump and the US culture wars, built a lasting right-wing movement that will define Brazilian politics for years to come.
