The Tormented Life of Egon Schiele | Biographical Documentary

The Austrian Expressionist painter Egon Schiele produced over 200 paintings and thousands of drawings and other works in his short life – he concentrated on the human form - the women in his life and himself. His candid and intensely personal portraits often with pale, unhealthy skin tones and bizarre, twisted poses caused a sensation in pre-world war one Vienna; collectors of modern art loved his new angst-ridden style that seemed to embody the decay of a society that was about to implode.
